Just remember to go to the student companion site for their online quizzes. If you prefer to read more theorists, try Feist. If you prefer to know more application, try Burger. More like the 2nd as the 1st is not exactly a textbook Maslow's work.
The other is Funder, probably one of the more engaging textbooks. This textbook is a mouthful. It's just page after page of text in fine print. It looks intimidating, but is quite well written.
As a student, you get just about enough on the subject of personality theories. Also, there's enough references to contemporary research. A bad thing about this book is that it takes a few chapters to get into its structure. For me it did, at least. Solid undergraduate level textbook on personality theory. Very dry textbook. Several pages are just blocks of text with no diagrams or images to make for a more pleasing aesthetic. May 11, Umar Farooq added it. As far as text books go, this is good. A little wordy sometimes-using the same phrases repeatedly.
Otherwise, very good. Read for the course about Personality theories! Pretty good as far as textbooks are concerned.
